"There'll be parties for hosting

Marshmallows for toasting

And caroling out in the snow"

-Andy Williams (It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year)

Is this December going by quickly for everyone? It is going by so fast for me! I still cant believe Christmas is next week! But, I am so excited! Growing up, I used to love the week before Christmas. My mom and I would always bake Christmas treats for our family and friends. I used to adore it. So, I wanted to share some of my favorite holiday treats, that you could make at home.

1) Christmas Turtles

This is one of the easiest treats you could make. All you need are: a bag of pretzels, a bag of Rolo, and a bag of Pecan Halves. Start by placing your pretzels on a baking tray. Then top each pretzel with a chocolate Rolo. After this, take your tray and place it in the oven for two minutes. Just enough for the chocolate to melt, ever so slightly. Then, take the tray out of the oven, and place a pecan half on top of each Rolo. Let it cool down, and enjoy! This treat is so easy to make, and is delicious!

2) Hot Cocoa Stirrers

Alright, I am a huge fan of hot cocoa! I absolutely love it! Some of my favorite hot cocoa mixes include:

Something I love to do when I am having hot cocoa, is adding toppings! I love adding in marshmallows, chocolate chips and sometimes even peanut butter chips. One year, my mom decided to make hot cocoa stirrers; and they were amazing! All you need are: jumbo sized marshmallows, candy canes, melted milk chocolate and sprinkles. Start with your candy cane, and add one marshmallow to the end of the candy cane. Then, dip the bottom of the marshmallow in your melted milk chocolate, followed by dipping it in your sprinkles. Let it cool, and there is your stirrer to mix into your hot cocoa. If you aren't a huge fan of candy canes, or anything peppermint (like me 🙈), substitute the candy cane with a pretzel rod! It's amazing! This is definitely a fun item to add to your Hot Cocoa Bar for holiday parties!

3) Popcorn Ornaments

This treat is a fun one to make! All you need for these are: 1/4 cup of butter, 1 bag of marshmallows, and 12 cups of popped popcorn. First, start by melting down your butter and marshmallows. Once it's all melted and mixed together; slowly pour the mixture to the popped popcorn. Now for the fun part, take your coated popcorn and form them into balls; creating your popcorn ornament. This sweet and salty snack is perfect for holiday movie nights!

I know the week before Christmas is usually a very busy one. But, I also hope it's a fun and exciting one for you all! ❤️
